Columbia Records oraz Legacy Recordings zapowiadają najnowszą część cieszącej się uznaniem serii bootlegów Boba Dylana. Album „Fragments - Time Out of Mind Sessions (1996-1997): The Bootleg Series Vol. 17”, który ukaże się 27 stycznia.

Columbia Records oraz Legacy Recordings często powracają do zapomnianego, a jakże bogatego katalogu artysty, nagranego w latach 1996-1997. Powstały one podczas sesji nagraniowych do albumu „Time Out of Mind”, który zapewnił Bobowi Dylanowi statuetkę Grammy w kategorii „Album of the Year” w 1998 roku.
Album „Fragments - Time Out of Mind Sessions (1996-1997): The Bootleg Series Vol. 17” ukaże się na polskim rynku w trzech wersjach: 2 CD, 5 CD, 4 LP oraz edycja digitalowa. Wszystkie edycje będą zawierać remixy, niewydane wcześniej i rzadkie utwory artysty.
Pierwszym utworem zwiastującym album jest „Love Sick (Version 2)” nagrane w styczniu 1997 roku w Criteria Studios.

25 lat po premierze płyty „Time Out of Mind” warto wrócić do niezwykle personalnych kompozycji, które powstały we współpracy z Danielem Lanoisem (gitara i organy), Tonym Garnierem (gitara basowa) oraz Tonym Mangurianem (perkusja i bębny). Na początku 1996 roku Bob Dylan zaczął pisać pierwsze nowe piosenki od wydanego w 1990 roku krążka „Under the Red Sky”, natomiast w okresie od sierpnia do października w Teatro Studio w Oxnord nagrywano ten materiał. Sesja nagraniowa zakończyła się na początku 1997 roku, kiedy Dylan przeniósł się do innego studia nagraniowego – Criteria Studio w Miami. Dołączyli do niego m.in. Bucky Buxter, Duke Robillard, Robert Britt, Cindy Cashdollar, Tony Garnier, Augie Meyers, Jim Dickinson, Jim Keltner, Brian Blade oraz David Kemper.
Rezultatem tych spotkań jest właśnie album „Time Out of Mind”, który zawierał takie hity jak „Love Sick”, „Cold Irons Bound”, „Can’t Wait” oraz „Not Dark Yet”. Do dnia dzisiejszego pozostają one jednymi z uwielbianych przez fanów kawałkami. Warto również wspomnieć o kultowej już piosence „Make You Feel My Love”, która na stałe zapisała się w muzycznym kanonie. Przez dwadzieścia pięć lat od swojej premiery coverowana była przez takich artystów jak Billy Joel, Garth Brooks, Neil Diamond czy chociażby Adele. Podczas rozdania nagród Grammy w 1998 roku Bob Dylan otrzymał 3 statuetki: „Album of the Year”, „Best Contemporary Folk Album” oraz „Best Male Rock Vocal Performance”.
Wszystkie utwory, które znalazły się na albumie „Fragments - Time Out of Mind Sessions (1996-1997): The Bootleg Series Vol. 17” zostały napisane przez samego Boba Dylana. Materiał wyprodukował Daniel Lanois we współpracy z Jack Frost Productions.
